Musical Background:

Vocal Background:
I started singing in church choirs when I was young, learned how to read music there while I was being taught to play the flute in the 4th grade. Have been singing lead and harmonies since then. I formed a band when I was 18 in 1973 and have been playing music and singing in bands for 30+ years.

Ran sound for High Roller Band for 3 yrs, Rockie and the Bullwinkles for 6 yrs, and have recorded in my studio for 10 yrs.

Local Info:
Have been performing in North Texas and Southern Oklahoma for the last 20 yrs. I play in church on Sunday mornings,. I also played with the band “The Fabulous Stents” from 2013 – 2020. I also take students to Nursing Homes and we perform there once a month for the residents.

Teaching:
I have been teaching for 16+ years for Victory Music located in beautiful historic downtown Denison, Texas. I have had the pleasure of working for James Brown over the last 16+ years and have enjoyed teaching for him. I now teach in my home studio in West Denison, Texas. I teach Guitar, Mandolin, Fiddle, and Bass

Genres:
I believe in teaching you how to play the instrument and have fun with it. And you can play whatever genres you like from there.
